This article is for the go-getters If you are anything like me, you’ll be spending your fall break sleeping, reading, and excessively working. However, if you want to take advantage of the nice weather and explore the St. Louis area, you’re at the right place!

Friday Oct. 4
Women’s Rugby plays Davenport University at 1 p.m. at Hunter Stadium
Saturday Oct. 5
Football plays Tennessee University State at Hunter Stadium. Kickoff is at 1 p.m.
Men’s Hockey home opener against UNLV is at Centene Community Ice Center. Puck drop is at 7:10 p.m.
Sunday Oct. 6
Men’s Hockey plays UNLV, concluding their two-game series at 1:40 at Centene Community Ice Center
Men’s Soccer plays Eastern Illinois University at Hunter Stadium at 3:00 p.m.
Now if you’re looking for some things to do outside of school here’s a few things going on locally which include:
Friday Oct. 4
The Joker 2 comes out in theaters Friday. There is an AMC theatre not far from school, located on Lombard Street.
First Friday’s is a free, monthly celebration of the arts. From 5 – 8 p.m. at The Foundry Art Centre is First Friday, an event to celebrate the arts. People can spend time in the galleries, meet resident studio artists, engage with the community, and enjoy a wide array of art programming, entertainment, and special events. This event occurs on the first Friday of every month. What’s unique to this month’s First Friday is that there will be an Unveiling of the Grand Hall Mural Project, and Candlelight Viewing Session of Excavations by Sue Giannotti – Live Music by West End Junction.
Vintage Market Days will be at the National Equestrian Center. Tickets will be most expensive on Friday, for the cost of $15.00, and open from 10 a.m. through 4 p.m. This is an upscale vintage-inspired market featuring original art, antiques, clothing, jewelry, handmade treasure, home décor, outdoor furnishing, consumable yummies, seasonal planting and more. This is said to be a step up from a flea market, and is held twice a year for three days at a time in the St. Louis area. There will be over 120 vendors to check out, live music, and many local food vendors.
If you’re down to get historical, there’s the Renaissance Festival happening at Rotary Park in Wentzville every Saturday and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., ending on October, the 27th. General admission tickets will be $22.95 but there will be free parking well!
Saturday Oct. 5
Saturday the Vintage Market will be open from 10 a.m. through 4 p.m. again but general admission tickets will again be $15.
The Paw Parade takes place on 2nd Street in Saint Charles! This is a free admission event, and it starts at 10 a.m. Pet owners are encouraged to dress up their animals and parade down 2nd Street in style. There will be vendors for your pets at the end and they’ll be open from 11 a.m. through 1 p.m.
St. Charles Riverwalk Market will be open for those who want to get some fresh produce or check out the crafts or local vendors. Live music will be playing throughout the event as you shop around for food, jewelry, gifts and more. This will be located at the Foundry Art Center from 7:30 a.m. through 1 p.m. and is free to attend.
Sunday Oct. 6
Vintage Market Day 3 will be open from 10 a.m. through 3 p.m. General admission will be $7 for the last day.
The Renaissance Festival is happening in Wentzville at Rotary Park from 10 a.m. through 6 p.m. General Admission tickets at $22.95 with free parking.
Monday Oct. 7
WWE Night at the Enterprise Center at 6:30 p.m. tickets starting at $30. If you can’t make it out to Enterprise Monday, they’ll have another show the next day at The Factory.
It’s days like this when it’s perfect to go to the movies! With new movies to watch like Joker 2, Beetlejuice Beetlejuice, Transformers One, Speak No Evil, My Old Ass, Never Let Go, The Forge and The Wild Robot.
Tuesday Oct. 8
WWE NXT at the Factory at the District will take place at 6:30 p.m. with tickets starting at $64
Again go to the movies, or pick up a good book, or potentially even recover from having potentially too much fun over the extra long weekend.
Make sure you utilize the Lindenwood provided TV shows, and movies on LU+. They have a ton of classics from all the popular genres. All you need to do to get access is be on school Wi-Fi and use your school login to get access!
