ST. CHARLES, Mo. — Located at 1735 S River Rd, St. Charles, MO, a brand-new training facility caters to local soccer players in the St. Louis area who aim to improve their skills.
Sogility offers a unique approach to athlete training by incorporating technology into the mix.
The new business held a grand opening event, welcoming families, and players to explore the facility. Attendees could try out the equipment and participate in training sessions. Sogility STL operates weekdays after school, from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m., while weekend hours vary, opening at noon and closing at 8 p.m.
Sogility STL invited several local brands to help promote their services, including chiropractors, supplement brands, and local teams. The event featured notable guests such as US Men’s National Team players Jozy Altidore and Bobby Wood, Canadian Olympic medalist Lauren Sesselmann, and Lindsay Eversmeyer, head coach of the Southwestern Illinois men’s team and a member of the St. Louis Sports Hall of Fame. These guests participated in a meet-and-greet and autograph signing.
St. Charles is the newest addition to Sogility’s two other locations in the U.S. “We are trying to expand this beautiful facility as much as we can. It will help grow the soccer community in the St. Charles area,” said Bobby Wood. In addition to training facilities, there is a bar with TVs where parents can relax while waiting for their children’s sessions to conclude. There is also a birthday party room available for celebrations.
“We have a great community. Our two owners both live in St. Charles, which has a wonderful soccer community, and it seems like the kids love it. We are excited to join,” stated Jess Semnacher, the General Manager of Sogility.
Sogility STL operates on a membership basis with four tiers. The Basic membership starts at $95 per month and offers 4 Sogility credits and access to all the facets, while the Ultimate membership is $235 per month. Each tier offers diverse benefits; for instance, the Ultimate membership provides access to all training facilities, a 20% discount on classes and camps, 16 Sogility credits, and entry to at least two VIP events.
They also offer a one-time free trial for those interested in experiencing the facility before committing to membership. With a membership, members can purchase credits to use the training facilities and access camps and additional training options.
What sets Sogility STL apart from other local training facilities is its use of technology. The facility features six training zones, including a technical soccer zone where players must pass a ball to a lit-up wall, enhancing their accuracy, ball control, and confidence. After training sessions, players can track their progress using the Sogility app.
“There is not another youth club overseas that uses technology like this. It impacts your decision-making and confidence with the ball,” shared Corey Adamson, an assistant coach for the Ambush and a parent.
Sogility STL aims to transform how athletes train, providing intense sessions with trainers tailored to specific exercises and training plans for goalkeepers. They also offer neuro training to enhance players’ reaction times, focus, coordination, and training for children aged 5 and under.
“We are here to help players get better that is our number one metric, and that is what success looks like. Sogility exists to find innovative ways to help players improve,” affirmed Jess Semnacher.
After a successful grand opening with a large turnout and plenty of fun, Sogility STL is ready to welcome players and athletes from the local St. Louis area looking to enhance their game. It is open to everyone with no experience or lots of experience. Everyone is welcome to go train and become a better athlete.
