Former Lindenwood football player and NCAA all-division tackle leader Connor Harris was released from the Arizona Cardinals practice squad according to the Arizona Cardinals website.
Harris was a star for the Lindenwood football team. In 2016 Harris was named the National Defensive Player of the Year. Harris picked up four All-MIAA selections and three All-American selections during his time at Lindenwood.
In 2016 Harris set the record for most career tackles in any division in the NCAA. Harris recorded 633 tackles in his 48 games with the Lions.
Harris was undrafted in the 2016 NFL Draft despite a stellar career at Lindenwood. The New York Jets signed Harris as an undrafted free agent on May 5 2017. Harris spent just under four months with the Jets before being waived on Sept. 2 2017.
Harris was released on Nov. 27 2017 to make room for former Denver Broncos linebacker Kevin Snyder to join the Cardinals practice squad. Snyder was an undrafted free agent out of Rutgers.
Harris has now cleared waivers and is eligible to sign with any team.
