An alleged sexual assault occured in a campus residence on the evening of May 2, according to a timely warning email sent out by the university.
According to the email, Public Safety and Security was notified on May 4 at 3 p.m. of a sexual assault that occured in campus housing at approximately 11 p.m.
The suspect was described as a white male who is known to the reporting party. No other details were provided, and it is unclear if the police are involved.

This is the fourth reported sexual assuaut of the spring 2018 semester:
- An alleged sexual assault resulted in charges being brought against a Lindenwood student in mid-February, after he allegedly filmed his roommate’s sexual encounters without consent and then sexually assaulted a woman when she confronted him about it.
- An alleged sexual assault occured on March 4 at a campus residence. The suspect is known to the victim.
- An alleged sexual assault occured on April 6 at a campus residence. The suspect is known to the victim.
Three sexual assaults were reported in the fall 2017 semester, totaling 7 for the year.
