The Lindenwood women’s softball team lost to Roosevelt University this past Friday by a score of 10-6 at the Lou Brock sports complex.
Lindenwood quickly scored five runs in the bottom of the first inning on six hits. Roosevelt crawled back into the game by the third inning after scoring two runs on a home run.
Roosevelt continued its comeback in the fourth inning as the team scored four more runs to take the lead for good. They later added four more runs to pad their lead.
This loss drops the Lions’ record to 2–7 overall.
The Lions will continue their schedule on Friday as the continue MIAA conference play at home against Lincoln University.
“We have been hitting the ball well in practice and our pitchers are eager to get outside and take on the MIAA teams,” said head coach Don Loberg.
