Being a part of the Lindenlink staff provides hands-on experience to prepare not only for a career in journalism, but in a variety of fields. Lindenlink alumni have worked and interned in media organizations across the country and internationally, as well as other institutions, including:

Working with other students to create content for Lindenlink and Link magazine, students can develop their skills in a collaborative work environment with flexible hours. We seek a diverse staff, and students of all majors are welcome to apply.

- Plan weekly culture coverage and communicate with reporters about assignments.
- Edit culture stories and cover culture content, as well as other content as needed.
- Manage culture reporters and photographers.
- Work to improve the culture section and maintain it as a relevant and engaging source of news.
- Work with other staff and editors to produce Lindenlink and Link magazine.
- Be responsible for editor-of-the-day duties at least one weekday each week and two weekend days per month.

Community relations/social media
Lindenlink is seeking people who can help with any of the following duties:
- Formulate and execute social media strategy to promote Lindenlink content on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and other platforms
- Maintain and promote a professional, trustworthy, and engaging public image for Lindenlink and Link magazine.
- Create press releases and help conduct appropriate public relations strategy as needed.
- Sell advertisements.
Also, candidates applying for other positions will be looked at favorably if they have experience in the area of social media/advertising/public relations.
Editor-in-chief
- Required: Advanced Reporting (COM 306) or demonstrated leadership or journalism experience
- Duties:
- Ultimately responsible for the publication
- Write and edit stories and take photos and videos as needed.
- Lead weekly meetings to determine coverage and make decisions about Lindenlink
- Manage section editors
- Recruit staff and volunteers
- Work with other staff and editors to produce Lindenlink and Link magazine.
- Be responsible for editor-of-the-day duties at least one weekday each week and two weekend days per month.
