LU alumnus Danny Simms performed a free concert in Butler Loft in honor of this year’s Sibley Day. This performance marked the first concert sponsored by Delta Tau Delta, Simms’ former fraternity.
“I’m a friend of Danny’s and I wanted to give him a chance to come showcase his talent,” said Delta Tau Delta member Zach Dennison.
Simms’ music is a mixture of R&B and rap. He performed both covers of other artists songs as well as his own original pieces. When asked what advice he had for current LU students, Simms replied, “Institutional education will give you the tools to make a living. Independent education will give you tools to make a fortune. Take full advantage of both and never stop learning. Be in a constant state of beta.”
