Dr. Billi Patzius has been named the interim dean of Lindenwood’s School of Human Services. The decision came after the former dean, Grant Shostak, was named Lindenwood’s legal counsel on Jan. 11.
Patzius, who has served in the capacities of associate professor and department chair of Criminal Justice since 2007, will continue with the same responsibilities while serving as dean.
Patzius is excited for the added responsibility and plans to represent Lindenwood well.
“I am humbled and honored to serve as the Interim Dean for Human Services”, said Patzius. “It allows me the opportunity to grow professionally so that I am able to better serve my students, fellow colleagues and Lindenwood as a whole.
“I’m excited to take on new challenges, and I will represent the School of Human Services to the best of my ability.”
Patzius will look to work closely with Ricard Delgado, dean of the School of Sciences. The School of Human Services is expected to merge with the School of Sciences over the summer.
