The Lindenwood Student Government general assembly meeting Wednesday afternoon in Dunseth Auditorium consisted of homecoming and new leadership events.
- Student Involvement Director Angie Royal encouraged people to come to the homecoming parade because it is “on the chopping block” due to low participation. To provide an incentive for people to attend the parade, there will be free coffee, Krispy Kreme donuts, and an opportunity to win a Best Buy gift card by Mathews and Flowers halls.
- Three leadership development events were announced: (As part of the Leadership (Series) Finding (and Leading) your Innate Self, a presentation by First Year Programs coordinator Dacoda Scarlett at 4 p.m. on Oct. 3 in Harmon 131 and Knowing your Worth, an event about salary negotiation strategies at 4 p.m. on Oct. 31 in Harmon 131.
And new program this year, Lunch with Leaders, where students can network with Lindenwood alumni business leaders, will begin at noon on Oct. 18 in Evans group dining hall. Students must RSVP on Involve U to attend Lunch with Leaders.
