Hurricane Sandy, which hit the East Coast last week, left millions of people within the region without electricity. New Jersey suffered with 1,983,694 homes, New York with 1,514,147, Pennsylvania with 526,934 and Connecticut with 352,286. Areas such as Hamilton Beach in Queens, NY were some of the worst to be affected by the storm.
