A Rave Alert sent to Lindenwood students, staff, and faculty has announced the cancellation of all evening classes on Monday, Feb. 5, at Lindenwood’s Missouri locations.
The National Weather Service has issued a winter weather advisory because of the “slickening of roadways expected with freezing drizzle and some snow this evening.”
The advisory, which is in effect until midnight, will effect parts of central, east central and northern Missouri.
Motorists are being advised not to drive between 3 p.m. and 6 p.m., when the storm will likely arrive, according to the St. Louis Post-Dispatch.
According to the Rave Alert e-mail, Lindenwood is asking evening class students to check Canvas for assignments from professors, and “Employees are encouraged to watch road conditions and consider leaving a half hour early if need be.”
An additional e-mail will be sent if Lindenwood’s Illinois locations will be closed as well.
