Every Valentine’s Day, couples across the country celebrate their love with the typical dinner and a movie. However, in the St. Louis area, there are plenty of atypical ways to celebrate Valentine’s Day whether you’re in a committed relationship, single or even if “it’s complicated.”
1. Try out a new chocolatey treat.
Just for Valentine’s Day, Starbucks is offering a new Cherry Mocha. The drink combines “signature espresso, Mocha sauce and cherry syrup. Topped with cocoa Valentine sprinkles, it’s love at every sip.” Grab one for that special someone in your life or yourself at the LARC Starbucks.
2. Take your ex out for wings.
Send the check to your ex this Valentine’s Day at Hooter’s. Take a picture of your terrible, awful, good-for-nothing ex to Hooter’s and rip that puppy to shreds for some free boneless wings. All you have to do is order a plate of ten boneless wings, destroy your picture, and before you know it, Hooter’s will gift you with 10 bonus boneless wings. Or if it helps soothe your broken heart more, you can destroy that picture online before heading in for your chicken.
3. Star in St. Louis’ rendition of The Price is Right.
This year for Valentine’s Day, The Fabulous Fox Theatre is bringing The Price is Right to St. Louis with a live interactive show Feb. 14. Just like the original show, contestants can win prices ranging from vacations to appliances. For tickets sales information, click here.
4. Live large at the castle.
The White Castle that is. This year for Valentine’s Day, White Castle is prepared to wine and dine you and your special someone in the best way they know how: with table-side service, a candlelit ambiance and sliders. White Castle is serving up this special dinner Feb. 14 from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. You do need a reservation, so be sure to call your local White Castle before heading out for your evening of romance.
5. Dust off your dancing shoes at Casa Loma Ballroom.
Grab a partner (or a group of friends) and make your way downtown for a night of dancing at Casa Loma Ballroom. Get down with the band Facts of Life at this year’s Rock ‘n Roll Valentine’s Dance Saturday Feb. 17. from 8 p.m. to midnight. Doors open at 7:30 p.m. Admission to the ballroom is $12 for adults under 21 and $10 for adults 21 and over.
