Over 30 different high school teams from Missouri and Illinois gathered for the Gateway Robotics Challenge at Hyland Arena on Sept. 29.
The off season competition provided students a chance to have their 170-pound industrial grade robots participate in obstacles courses.
Lindenwood University sponsored the event. The event gives young adults the chance to participate in science, technology, engineering and math fields, while applying those skills and hands-on training.
Reporter Madeline Raineri went to the competition to talk with students about their experience with robotics.
