A sexual assault reportedly happened late Dec. 9 at a campus residence, just before finals week began.
According to a timely warning email sent out Thursday by the university, the assault happened about 11 p.m. that night but wasn’t reported to Public Safety and Security until 11 a.m. on Dec. 13.
The suspect was described as a white male, approximately 19 years old, and he was known to the reporting party. No other details were provided, and it’s unclear if the police are involved.

This is the first reported alleged sexual assault of the fall 2018 semester. Four incidents were reported in the spring 2018 semester:
- An alleged sexual assault resulted in charges being brought against a Lindenwood student in mid-February after he allegedly filmed his roommate’s sexual encounters without consent and then sexually assaulted a woman when she confronted him about it.
- An alleged sexual assault occurred on March 4 at a campus residence. The suspect is known to the victim.
- An alleged sexual assault occurred on April 6 at a campus residence. The suspect is known to the victim.
- An alleged sexual assault occurred on May 2 at a campus residence. The suspect is known to the victim.
