A sexual assault reportedly occurred at a campus residence late Jan. 12, just before the start of the spring semester.
According to a timely warning sent out late Monday night by the university, the assault happened at approximately 11 p.m. Public Safety and Security was notified of the incident by the St. Charles Police Department on Jan. 14 at 9 p.m.
The St. Charles Police Department Public Information Officer, Lt. Tom Wilkison, said the department is “conducting a sex offense investigation involving two males students,” and that it was all he could say at the time of the interview.
A suspect was described as a white male, approximately 18 years old and known to the reporting party, according to the timely warning.

This is the first reported alleged sexual assault of the spring 2019 semester.
