The Lions won three of four games against Drury University this past weekend to improve their record to 23-18 overall and 12-8 in the GLVC.

The series opened up with a pair of games on Friday, with Lindenwood tallying victories in both of them. The offense led the way in the first one, as the Lions won by a final score of 11-8. In the second game of the doubleheader, the pitching staff got back on track as the hosts won 7-2.

Lindenwood made it three consecutive wins with a 5-4 victory in the first game of Saturday’s doubleheader. Senior right handed pitcher Tyler Cassmeyer tallied his third win of the season, going 5.0 innings with three strikeouts and just one earned run allowed.

Drury turned things around in the second game, avoiding the sweep with a 5-4 win. This marked the first time this season in which the Panthers lost a series of three or more games.

The Lions will look to carry the momentum into their four-game road trip to Rockhurst University in Kansas City, Missouri, from April 29 to May 1.
