This Friday, March 28, Lindenwood hosted its own music festival, dubbed Linden Woodstock. This festival took place on the Evan Commons lawn, from 4 to 10 p.m.
This music festival had many bands perform including the Spencer Atwood Band, Critical featuring BLVCKtheband, Dumpweed, Exscend, and Zach Hood.
The event was a great time for students as they received free food, free T-shirts, and free music. There were also plenty of things to do at the event including yard games and tie-dye shirts.
Lauren Roberts, who was one of the student organizers of the Linden Woodstock event had this to say about the turnout of students:
“We expected at least 100 students to come, our main priority is wanting to provide fun free events for all students on campus. We had over 200 students check-in within the first hour so we are really happy with that”
Roberts went on to talk about the future of this event and others at Lindenwood:
“With this event, we wanted something that is more gender-neutral and has more of a summer vibe to it. We strive to create annual events for everyone to enjoy every year, and this is definitely something we want to go forward with in the future.”
Even with it being a really windy day and not ideal conditions outside, the first ever Linden Woodstock event was a huge success.
We will update this story with more statistics from the event as they become available.
