Lindenwood faculty have been advised to handle Ferguson safety and security concerns with care, according to a message sent to the staff.
Information on outlets for students to share their questions and concerns will be sent to students in The Weekly Roar, a weekly service of events and information sent to students via the students’ assigned emails.
Counseling is also available through the Lindenwood student counseling and resource center for students who wish to speak about the situation.
According to the message, the department of public safety and security is in contact with law enforcement and is watching the situation closely.
According to the fireworks, firearms, explosives, and weapons policy, “All fireworks, firearms, explosives, BB guns, archery equipment, knives, or other items that may be considered weapons (i.e., snowballs, water balloons, paint pellet guns, soft pellet pistols, or decorative swords) are prohibited on the campus. Violators are subject to campus disciplinary action, up to and including dismissal and possible referral to appropriate local, state, or federal law enforcement agencies.”
