Forecast for this week: hot, chance for showers Wednesday night

The forecast for this week is hot with a slight chance for showers Tuesday through Saturday, according to the National Weather Service.

St. Charles is expected to see temperatures ranging from the mid-80s to the high 90s. Despite the heat, Patrick Walsh, a meteorologist for the National Weather Service in Weldon Spring says a slight chance for rain exists Tuesday through Sunday.

“Tuesday through Sunday, there is roughly a 20 percent chance,” he said. “The best chance will be Wednesday evening.”

Temperatures for the rest of the week are predicted to be:

Tuesday the high will be 93, with a 20-40 percent chance throughout the day and evening.

Wednesday the high will be 93, with a 60 percent chance of rain in the evening.

Thursday the high will be a high of 88, with a 20-30 percent chance of rain throughout the day.

Friday the high will be 84, with a 30 percent chance of thunderstorms.
