A sexual assault allegedly occurred in a campus residence hall early Wednesday morning.
This alleged assault comes within days of the first reported sexual assault of the semester. The St. Charles police department is currently investigating both allegations.
The residence hall is still unknown, but the alleged incident happened around 12:15 a.m., according to a timely warning email from Public Safety. It was reported to Public Safety around 9 p.m. yesterday.
The suspect is described as a white male in his “mid to late 30s and [is] known to the reporting party.”
These reports are happening during a time experts call “the red zone,” or the first six weeks of the semester. Fifty percent of sexual assaults on college campuses occur between August and November.
Anyone with information can call either the St. Charles police at 636-949-3300 or Lindenwood Public Safety at 636-949-4911.
