In an email sent this morning to students and faculty, Lindenwood announced moving to the third phase of the COVID-19 protocols, which means that masks are officially optional around campus, including classrooms, labs and studios starting next Monday, March 21.

The Phase 3 changes will be:

  • Masks Optional Across Campus: Masks will be optional in a majority of campus settings, including classrooms, labs, and studios. While we continue to strongly encourage mask wearing, masks are no longer required on campus.

Lindenwood will continue the following protocols:

  • Masks Required in Wellness Center: As the Wellness Center sees students who are unwell, masks will still be required in the Student Wellness Center.
  • Positive COVID-19 Cases and Exposures: Employees and students will continue to report positive test results or exposure to a confirmed COVID-19 case through the Initial Assessment Survey.
  • Isolation: Individuals with a confirmed case of COVID-19 will still be required to isolate.
  • Quarantine: Exposed individuals will still be required to quarantine.
  • Return to Work or Campus Activities: Employees and students will still be required to provide proof of a negative test to return to work or campus activities.
