A campus crime alert has been issued after two mopeds were stolen from Cullom Dr., which is part of Lindenwood’s men’s housing. The incident is currently being investigated by the St. Charles police department.
The mopeds were taken from the carports of the residence between 11:30 p.m. on March 7 and 10:30 a.m. on March 8.
Lindenwood’s department of public safety is recommending students keep all vehicles locked no matter how long they will be unattended.
They are also suggesting that students leave lights, radios or TVs on to make their residence appear as if somebody is home. The goal with these precautions is to prevent anybody from even attempting a theft.
At this time, there is no physical description of the culprits, but the public safety office is asking all students to keep their eyes and ears open for any suspicious activity.
If students spot anything suspicious on campus they are instructed to call Lindenwood’s public safety office at 636-949-4911 or to call 911.
If you have any information regarding this case, please contact the St. Charles police department at 636-949-3300.
