The only child of President James Evans has died, according to an email issued by Provost Jann Weitzel.
Laura Luebbert died April 28 of natural causes, according to Weitzel. She is survived by her husband, Edward, and parents, James and Lois Evans.
According to Evans’ biography on the Lindenwood website, Luebbert lived in Ferguson, Missouri.
Weitzel wrote that arrangements for a private service are underway. Donations in memory of Laura Lynn Evans Luebbert can be made to support the Lindenwood Library Academic Resources Center.
Evans will not host the Black and Gold Gala in the Lindenwood House tonight, according to a message from Angie Royal of Student Life and Leadership. The event has been moved to the VIP Room in the Hyland Arena at 5 p.m.
