The Missouri Life magazine hosted the first Big BAM bike ride on the Katy Trail, ending in St. Charles on Oct. 12.

The race lasted five days and ran for over 260 miles. 150 participants started, but on account of soggy weather only about 50 cyclists crossed the finish line.

Still the show went on, and Frontier Park had a band and food trucks scheduled to start after all the riders made it.

Ultramax Sports and Pork Belly Ventures helped plan the logistics of the course and support.

LUTV Reporter Kayla Drake went to talk to cyclists about their experience.
