New Dean of Humanities with corporate experience hired
Kathi Vosevich will assume her position as dean of humanities on July 1, 2019.

Lindenwood University has announced a new dean for the School of Humanities.
Kathi Vosevich was named the new dean of humanities on Monday. Currently Vosevich is the associate provost and dean of the College of Arts and Sciences at Shorter University in Rome, Georgia. Before starting the university in 2008, Vosevich worked at Sprint and Microsoft corporations.
The university has been searching for a new dean of humanities after Mike Whaley stepped down from the position this year.
Vosevich started in 2008 and worked her way up from an associate professor. She has a Ph.D. in English from the University of Denver, but went to Saint Louis University for her masters and bachelor degree.
Shorter University is a private four-year institution affiliated with the Baptist Church, with 1,520 students in 2017, according to U.S. News and World Report.
Vosevich will start assume her position on July 1, 2019.
