Yes, you read the headline right: Public Safety & Security is waiving student parking ticket fees in exchange for donations to the office’s toy drive.

Students with outstanding tickets can donate to the Toys for Tots drive until Dec. 20. Campus parking tickets are forgiven at the rate of one ticket per toy donated, according to Public Safety officer Woody Ellis.

Parking violations for the commuter lot, unauthorized parking, loading zone, guest parking, no
permit, and blocking dumpster are eligible to be waived.

All donations will be accepted at the Public Safety office on the fourth floor of the Spellmann Campus Center. Toys for Tots benefit families who may not be able to afford toys during the holiday season.

Students are not allowed to bring used toys, and they be still in their packaging and unwrapped. The toys will be for newborn through teenage children. No accessories, jewelry, clothing, or shoes will be accepted.
