Here are five things to do before finals week.

Can you believe January is already over? It’s crazy to think that week four grades are almost due… soon it will be Spring Break! But don’t let all your homework bog you down, there are plenty of fun activities happening on and off campus this upcoming week! As per usual, our Lions will be on the prowl with more athletic events.

It’s also Super Bowl Sunday this weekend. Flowers Hall has you covered for a Super Bowl Bash to watch the game.

If sports aren’t your thing, you can indulge in ice cream for breakfast in STL or learn time management tips! Read below for all the details.

  1. Flip on over to Hyland Arena for gymnastics and wrestling

This week the lions are stepping out of the den for a week jam-packed with sports. Hyland Arena will be booming with the usual volleyball and basketball, but there’s also more in store this week! The women’s gymnastics team and men’s wrestling team will both have showings this week. Or, you can bundle up and head over to the Centene Community Ice Center and rally on the hockey teams.

2.      Channel your inner child and treat yourself to ice cream for breakfast!

Saturday, Feb. 1 | 9:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. | Ices Plain & Fancy

Start your morning off right at Ices in STL as they open early this Saturday to celebrate National Ice Cream for Breakfast Day! Ices will be unveiling breakfast themed specials such as maple butter french toast, old fashioned apple fritter, and World’s Fair jelly donut nitro ice cream. Yum! The shop opens up at 9 a.m., and is first come, first serve.

3.       Here’s the Super Bowl game plan: rush on over to Flowers Hall!

Sunday, Feb. 2 | 5:00 p.m. | Flowers Hall

Whether you want to watch the commercials and the half-time Show or actually watch the game, Flowers Hall has you covered this Super Bowl Sunday. It’s expected to be the biggest Super Bowl bash on campus. Free food will be provided as you watch the biggest game of the year with your fellow peers!

4.       Shh, we’ve got the secret to balancing it all!

Monday, Feb. 3 | 5:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. | Blanton Hall

Are you struggling to prioritize your time? Having trouble balancing sports, school, extracurriculars and/or social activities? Look no further. Blanton Hall will be hosting an event to help you and other Lindenwood students learn time managment tips and tricks. Learn how to “Balance It All” this Monday. Free food will also be provided.

5.     Rise and shine under the Arch with sunrise yoga

Tuesday, Feb. 4 | 7:00 a.m. – 8:00 a.m. | Gateway Arch National Park

Yoga Buzz is teaming up with Gateway Arch Park Foundation to host FREE yoga classes inside the new Gateway Arch Visitor Center! They will lead you through a 45-minute, all levels class to start your day off right. Enjoy live accompaniment during class the first week of each month. Please bring a yoga mat or towel if you have one; a small number will be available to borrow, first come/first serve. Mark your calendar and make Tuesday mornings with Yoga Buzz part of your weekly wellness routine.
