Shane Williamson, dean of students and associate vice president for Student Life and Diversity, is stepping down from Lindenwood to become the director of diversity, equity and inclusion at the Webster Grove School District

Williamson announced on Linkedin that she will start the new position on Oct. 5 after working with Lindenwood for more than 13 years.

In her time at Lindenwood, Williamson has created a Center for Diversity and Inclusion and helped increase overall staff numbers. Williamson said her last day will be Oct. 9.

“I have worked at Lindenwood University since 2007 and it has been a phenomenal experience,” Williamson said in an email. “While I have built lasting professional relationships, I will miss the Lindenwood University students the most. It is been an honor to watch students enter as first-year students, grow and develop, graduate, and become professionals.”

“I also had the pleasure of earning my MBA from Lindenwood University, therefore I will always be a Lion!”
