Campus events to look forward to: September edition

Every semester, Lindenwood makes sure that students have many opportunities to stay involved, have fun, and attend events where they can meet new people and enjoy college life to the fullest.

Here are some of the events to look forward to in September.

1. Dance for Camera Experience- Informational Meeting
Date: Friday, Sep. 10
Time: 2 p.m. – 3 p.m.
Location: Zoom
This event is perfect for those who are interested in learning more, participating as a choreographer, director, videographer, or performer. All students are welcomed. This meeting will also include all guidelines and explanations for the experience.

2. Alpha Psi Lambda Bowling Social Night
Date: Monday, Sept. 13
Time: 8 p.m. – 9 p.m.
Location: 2187 1st Capitol Dr. Saint Charles, MO 63301
If you are thinking about joining the Alpha Psi Lambda, this social event is perfect for you. Any potential member can come, meet new people, and get to know current Alpha Psi Lambda members.

3. Movie Night with CAB
Date: Thursday, Sept. 16
Time: 6 p.m. – 11 p.m.
Location: J. Scheidegger Center of the Arts
Life as a college student can be quite challenging and stressful sometimes. When it gets too overwhelming, it’s important to take a break and relax for a bit. CAB provides a perfect opportunity to do so by showing the Netflix original movie “I Care A Lot.” CAB also provides snacks and drinks for those who join the movie night.

4. Rush Week: Phi Delta Theta Sand Volleyball
Date: Thursday, Sept. 16
Time: 6 p.m. – 7 p.m.
Location: Evans Commons Sand Volleyball Courts
Sand volleyball social event hosted by the men of Phi Delta Theta is a great opportunity for interested potential new members to get to know each other and meet new people.

5. Family Day
Date: Saturday, Sept. 18
Time: All day
Location: Lindenwood University Saint Charles Campus
Family Day is one of the most exciting events of this month. It’s a great opportunity for families to visit their student, explore the campus, and enjoy many activities. These include a football game, international festival and kids’ corner, ice cream social, Masters of Illusions magic show, and many others.

6. Master of Illusion Magic Show
Date: Saturday, Sept. 18
Time: 7 p.m.
Location: J. Scheidegger Center of the Arts, Lindenwood Theater
Master of Illusion is America’s largest touring magic show and is also Lindenwood Theater’s season opener. Join and enjoy professional illusionists perform magic, comedy, and dangerous escapes. Tickets can be purchased here.

7. Football Game
Date: Saturday, Sept. 18
Time: 7 p.m. – 11 p.m.
Location: Harlem C. Hunter Stadium
The Lions will be taking on Kentucky Wesleyan on Sept. 18 in their second home game of the season. Support Lindenwood and attend the football game with your family and friends.

8. Self-Care Club Paint Night
Date: Tuesday, Sept. 21
Time: 7 p.m. – 11 p.m.
Location: Harmon Hall 131
Painting is a great way to relax and de-stress. That is why Self-Care Club is hosting a fun night of painting and relaxation. Join to meet new people, socialize, paint, and relax. All supplies will be provided.

9. CRU Christian campus ministry Fall Day-Away
Date: Saturday, Sept.25
Time: 9 a.m. – 9 p.m.
Location: High Hill Christian Camp, High Hill, MO
Day-Away with CRU Christian campus ministry is a great way to connect with other college students and God. The day includes sessions, music, sports, and many other exciting activities.

10. Out of the Darkness Suicide Prevention Walk
Date: Sunday, Sept. 26
Time: 12 p.m. – 3:30 p.m.
Location: Creve Coeur Park: Tremayne Pavilion
“Out of the Darkness” is an annual suicide prevention walk held at Creve Coeur Park. Events like these help bring awareness and decrease suicide rates. Click here to register in order to participate.
