The two women’s volleyball matches that were set for this weekend against McKendree University and Maryville University have been canceled.

One of the members of the team tested positive for COVID-19.

“It’s frustrating, but it’s the environment we’re in,” head coach Will Condon said. “Not that much we can do about it.”

Condon stated that the team is in isolation until next Tuesday.

“We can take precautions, but there’s no way to be 100 percent safe in these conditions,” Condon said.

The Lions are 5-3 so far this season. Next week, they hope to enter conference play against Drury University at home on Sept. 24.
