UPDATE: University identifies student who died last week

Updated Oct. 19, 2021 at 1 p.m. with confirmation on the student who died last week, and information on visitation and the memorial for him. 

Lindenwood has released information on the student who was found dead on campus Wednesday.

The student was upperclassman Jubal Schultz, according to an email sent out Tuesday, Oct. 19, by Lindenwood Public Relations.

“It is with profound sadness that we share additional details of the passing of Jubal Schultz, an upperclassman at Lindenwood,” according to the email.

Schultz was from Bowling Green, Missouri. and had interest in religion, theatre, and political science, according to information provided by the email.

The university has not released details regarding the cause of death, but police and public safety were present at Calvert Rogers Hall Wednesday evening when President John R. Porter sent out an email informing the campus community of a student death.

Public visitation will be held Wednesday from 4-10 p.m. at the Pike County Fairgrounds center in Bowling Green, Missouri. The funeral service is Friday at 1 p.m. at the Siloam Church in Middletown, Missouri.

On Monday, Oct. 25 at 4 p.m., Lindenwood will be hosting a memorial service on campus at the Sibley Chapel.
