Lindenwood football clinches spot in Division II playoffs

The Lions football team will travel to Allendale, Michigan, on Saturday to take on Grand Valley State in the NCAA Division II playoffs.

This is Lindenwood’s second consecutive year winning the Great Lakes Valley Conference championship and their second playoff appearance since 2019.

Grand Valley State holds a 9-1 record and a 6-1 record in the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference. They are ranked fourth in the Super Region while the Lions are ranked fifth.

The Lakers are coming off of a 42-0 victory over the University of Davenport. This will be their 21st post season appearance and their 20th appearance in the national playoffs.

The Lakers are also 31-14 overall in the playoffs with four national championships and six title game appearances.
