Men’s basketball looks to get back on track against Quincy

The men’s basketball team will face Quincy University on Thursday, Dec. 2.

Lindenwood is 5-2 against Quincy all-time, and are on a three-game winning streak in the matchup. Last season, they won 93-77 in the second game between the two on Jan. 16 at home. In the first meeting, the Lions traveled to Quincy, Illinois, on Dec. 5, where they earned an 88-74 victory.

The Lions are coming off a 90-84 overtime loss to Maryville University on Monday. Senior guard Jacoby Ross led the team with 27 points, and junior Kevin Caldwell Jr. followed with 16 points.

Ross also leads the GLVC in scoring with 140 points. Senior forward Romelo Burrell is ranked third with 114, and is third in the GLVC in rebounds with 51.

Quincy is coming off a 83-76 win against the University of Alaska Fairbanks. Hawks’ junior forward Malik Hardmon led the team with 23 points, and junior forward Adam Moore followed with 15 points. Hardmon is ranked fourth in the GLVC in scoring with 113 points.

This will be Quincy’s first conference game. Tip off will begin at 7:30 pm.
