For over 20 years now, the Great Train Show has been making a stop at the St. Charles Convention Center to give people a chance to marvel at the mini locomotives.

This year, the show was in St. Charles on Jan. 29 and Jan. 30.

“We have venders from all over the country that come and set up to sell their wares. We also have layouts from all over the Metropolitan St. Louis Area represented,” show manager Neal Carnaby said. “Probably, off the top off my head, about eight different layouts with all their members and so on.”

Nobody gets more excited viewing the trains however than the children.

“The kids get you excited,” show attendee Mike Kay said. “Again, when you’re at home and you’re putting your trains and stuff together, it’s fun but just seeing the look on kids’ faces and how excited they get when they see it running, pointing, and just their excitement builds to your excitement.”

The next Great Train Show will be Feb. 13 and Feb. 14 in Indianapolis. For more info, click here.
