Lindenwood’s tennis team was defeated by McKendree University last Saturday, April 23, by a score of 4-3.

The Lions were aiming to earn a conference bid, and this was the last of two competitions where the teams were placed in groups to determine who was going to compete in conference.

Both the men’s and women’s tennis teams took part in double and single matches, including seniors Francisco Diaz, Juan Pablo Herrera, Juan David Balbin and Guillerme Teste for the men’s team and Fernanda Pollute, Paula Sostres, Claire Martin and Natalia Cordero for the woman’s team, all who played their last ever home match for Lindenwood.

The final results of the matches left the Lions with a score of three, which determined that they will not be participating in this year’s conference.
