Campus events to look forward to: February edition

Every semester, Lindenwood makes sure that students have many opportunities to stay involved, have fun, and attend events where they can meet new people and enjoy college life to the fullest.

This month, some of those events include Tu BiShvat with Jewish Student Association, CAB Valentine’s Day, and Spring 2023 Educator, Career, and Internship fair.

  1. The State of Black Educators Symposium

Date: Feb. 3, 5:30 p.m. – 8 p.m.

Location: UMSL, 1 Touhill Circle, St. Louis, MO, 63121

The State of Black Educators Symposium is an annual event that covers topics such as issues impacting Black educators. The fee for the event is $25. Those interested can register by purchasing a ticket here.

  1. Tu BiShvat with Jewish Student Association

Date: Feb. 6, 5:30 p.m. – 7:30 p.m.

Location: Spellmann AB Leadership Room

Hosted by JSA, this event is a celebration of the trees. Students will be able to play a real-life version of the fruit ninja as well as participate in a fruit decorating contest.

  1. Karaoke Night with Black Student Union

Date: Feb. 9, 7 – 9 p.m.

Location: Harmon Hall Dunseth Auditorium

BSU invites Lindenwood students to unwind and spend an evening at the Karaoke Night. Those interested can participate in a friendly competition.

  1. Campus Activities Board – Valentine’s Day

Date: Feb. 14, 11 a.m. – 1 p.m.

Location: LARC Atrium

Campus Activities Board will be hosting Valentine’s event, where they will be handing out flowers, bears, and other holiday-themed items for the holiday.

  1. International Student Fellowship – South African Culture Night

Date: Feb. 21, 7 – 9 p.m.

Location: Evans Commons 3020 – Multipurpose Room

ISF invites all Lindenwood students to celebrate and learn about South African culture and its neighboring countries. Students will be able to learn about the cultures through music, comedy, trivia questions, and more.

  1. Spring 2023 Educator, Career, and Internship Fair

Date: Feb. 23, 2 – 5 p.m.

Location: Evans Commons Courts

This event provides employment and internship opportunities to Lindenwood students and alumni. Students are encouraged to dress professionally, bring their resumes, and be prepared to network.
