An email was sent out to students on Tuesday morning from Clery Compliance Officer Jose Obando to notify that Oct. 5 through Oct. 9 is Clery Compliance Week.

The Clery report is required to be published annually to stay in compliance with the Clery Act. According to the Clery Center, the Clery Act is a consumer protection law that aims to provide transparency around campus crime policy and statistics.

According to Lindenwood’s 2019 Annual Security and Fire Safety Report (Clery Act,) Lindenwood reported nine on-campus rapes and one aggravated assault in 2018.

The email sent out today encouraged anyone with information about the sexual assault to contact the St. Charles Police Department at 636-949-3300 or Lindenwood Public Safety at 636-949-4911.
