Ericka Greene, a Lindenwood graduate student, recently died off campus according to an email sent out to the university Friday, Feb. 19.

Greene was a graduate student working on a master’s degree in counseling. Greene was originally from Chicago, but living in the St. Louis area. She earned a bachelor’s degree from Lindenwood in 1997.

Greene will be awarded a post-graduate degree posthumously.

The email described her as passionate about her education. It did not state when or where Greene died.

Greene’s funeral service will be conducted at the Granberry Mortuary on Monday, Feb. 22 at 4 p.m.

The email encouraged students in need of resources and counseling support to contact the Student Counseling and Resource Center at (636) 949-4522.  It also listed Candace Terry, director of employee benefits, as a contact for employees seeking grief counseling.
