Campus events to look forward to: October edition

Every semester, Lindenwood makes sure that students have many opportunities to stay involved, have fun, and attend events where they can meet new people and enjoy college life to the fullest.
This month, some of those events include lip sync & pep rally, fall play fest, Chick-Fil-A drive-thru, and many more.

Here are some of the events to look forward to in October:
1. Homecoming week: lip sync, pep rally, bonfire.
Date: Wednesday, Oct. 6 – Oct. 9
Location: Lindenwood University, Saint Charles campus
Homecoming week is by far the most exciting and interesting week of October. Homecoming events include a bonfire, pep rally, student organization fair, and many more. All information about the homecoming week’s events is available here.
2. Night at the Movies with CAB and Title IX
Date: Wednesday, Oct. 6
Time: 7 – 11 p.m.
Location: LARC Theater Room 343
Join Campus Activities Board and Title IX to watch “Enough” for Domestic Violence Awareness Month. Snacks and water will be provided, as well as charity box available for donations for the Bridgeway Domestic Violence Shelter.
A list of donations needed: full-size hygiene products, laundry baskets, self-care items, laundry detergent, paper products, trash bags, towels, and clothing.
3. Fall Play Fest 2021
Date: Friday, Oct. 8
Time: 7:30 p.m.
Location: The Emerson Black Box Theatre
Fall Play Fest will include Gruesome Playground Injuries (Book by: Rajiv Joseph), Mirrors (Book by: John O’Brien), and more. More information about tickets and the event is available here.
4. Commuter Event – Chick-fil-A Drive-Thru
Date: Friday, Oct. 15
Time: 10:30 a.m. – 1:30 p.m.
Location: J. Scheidegger Center Parking Lot
Commuters can drive thru the J. Scheidegger Parking Lot and enjoy a free Chick-fil-A lunch.
5. Spooky Saturday
Date: Saturday, Oct. 16
Time: 12 – 2 p.m.
Location: Evans Commons Courts
Spooky Saturday is hosted by Campus Activities Board. There will be candy to put in treat bags and spooky crafts to make.
6. Fraternity & Sorority Life Powderpuff Tournament
Date: Sunday, Oct. 24
Time: 4 – 6 p.m.
Location: Hunter Stadium
Lindenwood’s sororities and fraternities will have a powderpuff tournament hosted by Delta Zeta.
7. Murder Mystery with CAB
Date: Wednesday, Oct. 27
Time: 6 – 10 p.m.
Location: Spellmann Center, AB Leadership Room
Murder Mystery event hosted by Campus Activities Board where students will be able to enjoy an interactive performance by Jest Murder Mystery. CAB provides a taco bar catered in for the event.
8. Pinterest Expo
Date: Thursday, Oct. 28
Time: 4 – 7 p.m.
Location: Library and Academic Resource Center (LARC)
Pinterest Expo hosted by Campus Activity Board in LARC Grove.
There will be three different DIY stations: painting your own pot and plant, making your own bracelet/necklace, and decoration wooden pallets with Pinterest pictures.
