ST. CHARLES, MO.- Jack Cribbin, the longest-tenured head coach at Lindenwood, enters his 21st season at the helm of the Lions women’s lacrosse program, marking more than two decades of sustained leadership and growth.
In 2025, Lindenwood posted its second-consecutive 10 win season, going 10-6. The Lions made the ASUN Conference Tournament for the third-straight year, and advanced to the semifinals for the second consecutive year. The Black and Gold boasted the No. 2 scoring offense in the ASUN at nearly 14 goals per game.
The Black and Gold return one of the most dangerous attacks in the conference, led by a trio of 40-goal scorers in Luci Selander, Alissa DiGiacinto and Reese Krieger. Selander and Krieger were both named to the All-ASUN First Team.
Selander, after transferring from Butler, netted 58 goals and 23 assists in her debut season with the Lions. She also led the team with 131 shots and three game winners and tied the Lindenwood NCAA record with nine goals in a game against Akron.
DiGiacinto returns for her junior season after scoring 49 goals and dishing out 15 assists on the attack while also scooping up 17 ground balls and winning 55 draw controls. The Brooklin Ontario native looks to anchor a veteran heavy attack for the Lions.
Krieger also enters year number three in St. Charles not falling for the sophomore slump as she upped her goal total from 23 in her freshman season to 43 a year ago. Krieger also tallied the second most shots on the team with 100.
One mainstay for the Lions the last few seasons will now find a new role on the bench as Ryleigh Cavanaugh stays with the team as an assistant for the upcoming season. Cavanaugh tallied 16 goals, 10 assists and 174 draw controls in her farewell season as a player for the Lions in 2025.
“We are thrilled Ryleigh is going to remain with our Lindenwood lacrosse family,” Cribbin said. “She will be a great addition to our staff. Her resume as a student-athlete and leader speaks for itself. I know Ryleigh will be a tremendous coach, and we are excited her journey will begin with us.”
Defensively Lindenwood is anchored by sophomore Julia Bella who scooped up 32 ground balls and won 36 draw controls, an effort that garnered her All ASUN second team and Freshman team honors.
Mia Proctor, Lauren Bailey, Claire Blue, Anna Bea Jacobs, Carly Thiel, Annie Wille, Olivia Godbout, Ava Graham, Tatum Bryant and Sarah Jardine are a group of key returners that will look to elevate their roles here in 2026.
Returning in net for the Lions will be Elizabeth Goth, who played in six games a year ago, allowing 19.85 goals and posting a save percentage of only .333. She will be joined by Taylor Coughlin, a graduate student, who comes to St. Charles after spending four seasons at Saint Francis. She was an All-NEC second teamer in 2025 after compiling a record of 6-10 in net and allowed 10.45 goals per game and a .456 save percentage.
Lindenwood brings in a talented class of 10 freshmen including four attackers, three midfielders, two defensemen and a goalkeeper. This Lindenwood team is still a very young squad with 21 underclassmen to just 10 upperclassmen on the roster.
Lindenwood was picked to finish 5th in the preseason ASUN poll behind Delaware, Coastal Carolina, Jacksonville and Liberty.
The Lions open their season at home on Feb. 6 against Kent State with ASUN play beginning March 19 at Hunter Stadium against the defending ASUN champs, Liberty. The ASUN tournament is scheduled to take place April 28-May 2 in Jacksonville Florida.
