This summer I had the opportunity to attend the Lutheran Church- Missouri Synod (LCMS) National Youth Gathering in San Antonio, Texas. This is an event that gathers up around 25,000 Lutherans from LCMS churches all over the country and even a few from Canada. This event gives senior high youth groups the chance to service and worship together with fellow believers from all over.
The location for this year’s gathering could not have been a more beautiful place for participants to go out and “Live Loved,” as this year’s theme suggested. The town was full of gorgeous wildlife and historic scenery, as well as more than a few blue backpacks worn by participants of the gathering. Below are a few pictures of my week in San Antonio:
