Around midnight Thursday, reports were starting to roll out on the social media platform X that Best Buy had sent out and email to affiliates concerning the start dates to an ad campaign regarding pre-orders for Grand Theft Auto VI.
The email was first revealed on a live stream from YouTuber Frogboyx1Gaming, where he showed the camera the exact email he had received with the sender being the Best Buy Affiliate Team.
This email would state that the pre-order campaign would begin on May 18 and run till the 21st with an online compensation of 5 percent on the online sale.
This would be reposted and corroborated by multiple other major creators on the site. The biggest one of note being SynthPotato, who would post on their account that they had received the exact email from Best Buy as well and vouched to its authenticity and says that this potentially puts trailer three within the coming week.
More news is coming to light, and it is possible we can see the summer campaign kick off very soon but as of now there is no official word from Rockstar on the marketing and Grand Theft Auto VI is still set to release on Nov. 19 on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S.
