Lindenwood Student Government’s general assembly promoted the TedX event, introduced the Title IX coordinator and gave details about events campus clubs can participate in.

Student organizations that are participating in homecoming events need to sign up on Involve U by 8 a.m. Sept. 11.

The TedX event was presented at the meeting. The event will be held 2 to 6 p.m. on Oct. 12 in the Black Box Theater in the J. Scheidegger Center. One of the main event planners, Academic Technology Specialist Brittany Weiss, handed out flyers to attract volunteers for the event. Those who wish to volunteer to help at the event were encouraged to contact Weiss, who is in charge of the event.

Also, in an effort to raise money for Ranken Jordan Pediatric Bridge Hospital, the Interfraternity Council is selling tickets to the Cardinals vs. Cubs game on Sept. 26 for $26.

The general assembly also approved three funds requests totaling just over $340 for coeducational fraternity Delta Sigma Pi’s upcoming events.

Speaker of the Senate Nam Nguyen urged students who have ideas for legislation or have concerns they want LSG to address to contact [email protected] or [email protected].
