Commuter student appreciation week: free breakfast, lunch, giveaways
Monday, Feb. 26 – Thursday, Mar. 1 will be the first annual Commuter Student Appreciation Week. There have been other events in the past for commuters, but this is the first time a week has been held. Rachel Tolliver, coordinator of student involvement, said that with a full week of events, they are able to reach more students who might not always be on campus.

The first Commuter Student Appreciation Week will be held from Monday, Feb. 26 to Thursday, March 1.
This is the first official full week for commuter student appreciation, but there have been individual events held in the past, said Rachel Tolliver, coordinator of Student Involvement.
Having a full week of events will reach more commuter students because some commuters are only on campus Monday, Wednesday and Friday or Tuesday and Thursday, Tolliver said.
“If you do a full week, hopefully you’re catching a good portion of students on campus,” Tolliver said.
