ST. CHARLES, MO. – Lindenwood University will recognize its highest-achieving students at the Honors Cord Ceremony on May 1, 2026, at 3:00 p.m. in the J. Scheidegger Theatre.
The ceremony will celebrate the students earning University Honors, which is the institution’s highest academic distinction, awarded at commencement. Recipients must complete rigorous academic requirements, including 24 hours of honors credit, and maintain a minimum of 3.5 GPA or higher.
Families and friends have been invited to attend the event, which will be followed by a catered reception; however, for those not able to attend in person, a ceremony will be available via livestream.
The Honors Academy is one of Lindenwood’s signature programs for high-achieving undergraduate students, emphasizing academic excellence, leadership, and personalized learning. Through faculty collaboration and honor-enhanced coursework, students learn to develop critical skills, including problem-solving, communication, and global awareness.
Students who earn University Honors are recognized at graduation with purple cords, symbolizing their dedication to going above and beyond standard academic expectations.
